Generate an Evidence Report
Quickly download your evidence report the moment you get the call for an Ofsted inspection.
You can also generate the report anytime to support other parts of running the school, like your SEF, school improvement planning, or governors' meetings. The report itself is built with Ofsted in mind, so that's how it's structured, but the evidence behind it is just as useful across the rest of the school.
Important: only approved evidence will appear on the report. Evidence still sitting in Review won't be included, so check everything you need is approved before generating a report.
To generate a report:
1. Click Generate Report on the left of the screen.

3. Your download will begin and appear at the bottom of the page as "Pending." Once ready, this changes to "Download". Click it to get your ZIP file.

The ZIP contains all the documents that make up your evidence base, plus a spreadsheet listing every document and showing how it relates to each descriptor.
Downloads are available on the platform for 3 days — an expiry date is shown so you know how long you have left. Once you save the files to your own computer, they're yours to keep permanently.
You can also filter what the report includes before exporting:
- Best Evidence only - shows just your evidence marked as "Best Evidence." To use this filter, make sure you've ticked "Best Evidence" against the relevant items on your Evidence base page first.
- Include Missing Evidence - shows everything, including descriptors that don't yet have evidence mapped to them, so you can see at a glance what's still outstanding.
