Safeguarding

Can I use Intelligent Evidence to manage safeguarding evidence? Is there a specific safeguarding category in the platform?

For safeguarding, we have deliberately chosen not to build a dedicated safeguarding workflow into Intelligent Evidence. There are two main reasons for this:

  1. There is a significant risk of including identifiable personal information. We believe safeguarding records should remain fully within your school’s own internal systems and procedures.
  2. From an Ofsted perspective, safeguarding is largely a binary, compliance-based area rather than a nuanced judgement. You either meet the requirements or you do not, which is not where AI provides the most value.

You can, however, still upload your safeguarding policy (and related high-level documents) into Intelligent Evidence. These documents can be helpful in demonstrating alignment with other relevant grade descriptors, without storing sensitive individual-level safeguarding information in the platform.
